• Storyline: The film set in the mid 1990s outside of St. Petersburg tells the story of an ethnic Yakut, Major Skryabin, a shell-shocked veteran of the Afghan-Soviet War, who works as a stoker. Every once in a while a group of local gangsters led by his once comrade-in-arms come by to his workplace and residence to get rid of inconvenient corpses. As the story unravels the character's fates become fatally intertwined. It becomes only a matter of waiting to see when the war hero would rebel.
