It is more likely flash or javascript,
make sure you have the latest version and turned on

Might be a bug with the new Firefox which i also use and will be fixed shortly or admin has not updated the site, he is usually on the ball updating the same day new software comes out.
Btw i have them turned off for my protection by default so i haven't seen the slider in a long time.
